Environmental Policy

Spectrum Medical recognises the importance of ensuring alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through balancing the three pillars of sustainability - the economy, society and the environment. The most pertinent Sustainable Development Goals are 3, 8, 12 and 13:

Spectrum Medical is committed to the continual improvement of our Environmental Management System (EMS), in alignment with the international standard, ISO 14001:2015.

This EMS to provide due consideration to both the environmental risks and opportunities inherent in providing innovative, technological products and services in the Medical Device sector.

Spectrum Medical commit to:

  • adopting good environmental management practice.
  • complying with applicable legal obligations.
  • continually improving our environmental performance by setting environmental objectives.
  • continually improving our EMS to support the strategic direction of the company.

  • Certified to ISO14001 for UK operations.
    ISO 14001 badge
  • Commissioned state-of-the-art UK Headquarters including:
    • >350 of Photovoltaic Panels at UK Headquarters, EPC Rating 6 (A).
    • LED lighting with presence detection with daylight dimming.
    • >10 electric vehicle charging ports.
    • On site Cardboard Compacting.
    • Segregated Recycling waste.
  • Assigned dedicated resource to sustainability to champion progress.
